Your Skin Changes Over Time.
That’s probably no surprise—but do you know exactly how? Two important components in how the skin changes over time are collagen and elastin, because they help keep facial lines and wrinkles at bay. Collagen and elastin both contribute to the skin’s strength and elasticity. Unfortunately, aging and environmental factors (think sun damage) make it harder for your body to produce these components. Reduced amounts of collagen and elastin can cause facial skin to wrinkle and sag, stealing from your youthful appearance.
Radiesse and Radiesse (+) are dermal fillers that are FDA-approved to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth) 1,2 Radiesse is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.
- Radiesse treatments are performed in-office and you can go home immediately after your appointment.
- Treatment should last no longer than 15 minutes.
- Radiesse injections should only be performed by a trained, qualified Radiesse provider.
- You should be able to return to your normal routine immediately, although you should minimize strenuous activities and sunlight exposure for a period.
